Jack’s almost back!

So, I did a thorough edit on The Locke Files.  It has a new name – Time to Die and the series will be known as The Locke Files.  There were some changes that moved the plot slightly, so for anyone following the series, please ask Amazon to push you the latest version.  The second book will have a Foreword outlining the positioning from the first book.

I was a big fan of Quantum Leap – yeah, I know it was cheesy, but sometimes that feel good factor is exactly what we need.  Locke is going to become a wealthy time-travelling investigator solving crimes by saving the victim.  Given I tend to write post-apocalyptic stories where almost everyone dies, this series is a nice counter balance to my otherwise homicidal tendencies.

The Locke Files series is different to the Hunter Wars and Navigator series.  I got caught up with the latest developments in DNA treatments, wondering where it might lead, and Jack Locke was born.  I see him moving through time, finding victims of crime, and working out how to unstitch their deaths.  He’s the ultimate detective who not only solves the crime, but he can bring the victim back to life.  Of course, he’s forever fighting with Barry the bad boy President!

Time to Die is in its final edits and should be back on the shelves in the next week with a new cover. Below is a preview of the new cover.

Now, I’m torn over which of the three books I have queued to write next:
– Eden Lost, book three – Battlefront
– Navigator, book two – Blind Sighted
– The Locke Files, book two – Time to Kill

I have plot lines ready for Battlefront and Blind Sighted, and I have to confess I’m tempted to continue with Navigator.  I’ll just have to fire up files for both and see where my imagination takes me.  As you know, it’s usually somewhere crazy!
